Kendriya Vidyalaya, OldCanttald was established in the year 1987 near Railway Kendriya Vidyalaya Old Cantt is established in Army Sector. It was opened in 1989 and situated 10 Km from Junction Rly Station and Civil Line Bus Stop. 3Km from Prayag Rly Stn near Joginder Singh Stadium.The founder Principal was Mr G.D.Pandey and preset Principal is Mr. S. Ram. The Vidyalaya is runnig class I to XII with Science, Commerceand humanities streams.
The school is running in old building(Baracks).The new building is going to be build very near to IERT hostel in Prarag localty but its progress is very slow due to concern officials of Army. I hope that it will be solved shortly.
One physically handicaped student (having only one foot no hands)named Sarita Dwivedi of class XI C have been received PRESIDENT AWARD in the field of drawing & Painting. She draw figures / write every thing with her mouth.She is excellent.
